Custom Quilt Services

Custom quilts are great because they end up being exactly what you want and there are so many different ways of going about planning your quilt.

  • Determine a general size for your quilt…crib, lap/snuggle quilt, twin, full, queen, or king.  Do you want a wall hanging?  Fantastic.  How about a table runner?  You just let me know and I'll make it happen.
  • Color scheme.  This can be as simple as you telling me the general "feel" you are going for, exact colors you want, or even choosing specific fabrics you would like me to use to create your quilt.  I'm open to YOUR ideas and will throw out a few of my own if you would like.
  • Pattern.  Pattern choices are truly unlimited.  Perhaps you've designed your own quilt pattern but would like me to assemble it.  I can do that!  If you give me a general style that you like, I will provide ample examples.
All fabrics used are 100% cotton high-grade quilt fabric, machine stitched with quality 100% cotton thread, and made with 100% cotton batting (unless otherwise specified or requested).  I will not scrimp on materials or workmanship.  Quilts are made to last and I make every effort to ensure the longevity of all quilts I create.  All machine quilting is hand guided and free form on a long arm HandiQuilter Sweet Sixteen machine (ie: not preprogramed patterns or pantographs).  Threads used for machine quilting are either 100% cotton, 80/20 cotton/polyester blend, or polyester (Isacord, Aurifil, or Superior).  Thread will be decided upon prior to being machine quilted.

Cost is dependent on so many factors that this is something we will discuss prior to beginning any custom quilt project.  The cost is determined by the size of quilt, cost of fabric, pattern selected, and level and intricacy of machine quilting.  Basically, the more detailed the quilt pattern, the longer it takes to make, the more it will cost.  Similarly, a larger quilt requires more fabric and takes longer to make.  Again, every quilt is custom in design and also custom in cost.

A 50% deposit is due prior to the purchase of fabric for your quilt.  The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of the quilt.  Funds must clear via PayPal (or via check) prior to shipping your completed quilt.

I take great pride in my work and Your satisfaction is my ultimate goal!
